Bookkeeping & Finance Operations

Accurate day-to-day finance operations (AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations) so owners stop firefighting and start seeing real trends.

Overview

Most owner-managed businesses do not have a finance problem so much as a finance operations problem: invoices go out late, bills are paid from memory, the books close weeks after the month ends, and by the time numbers arrive they are too old to act on. ChurchillTerry runs the day-to-day finance function — or rebuilds yours — so the information you lead with is current, consistent and trustworthy.

We work as an extension of your team rather than a replacement for your CPA. Your tax advisor keeps filing; we make sure what they receive, and what you run the business on, is right the first time.

Money

What we do

Transaction processing
Accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense coding and payment runs on a set weekly rhythm.
Payroll coordination
Payroll run support, benefits and contractor payments coordinated with your provider.
Reconciliations
Bank, credit card, loan and intercompany accounts reconciled every month, not at year end.
Monthly close
A published close calendar that ends in a management pack you actually read: P&L, balance sheet, cash and the few metrics that matter.
Systems & workflow
Chart of accounts clean-up, accounting and bill-pay system setup, approval workflows and documented procedures.
Year-end handoff
A tidy, supported file delivered to your CPA so tax work starts from clean numbers.

Engagement

Typical engagement models

  • Full outsourceWe run the entire finance operation, from transactions through the management pack.
  • Clean-up and catch-upA defined project to bring neglected or fragmented books current, then hand back or continue.
  • Supplement your teamWe cover a gap, a leave or a volume spike, or add the review layer above an internal bookkeeper.

(Engagement scope, hours, and pricing are defined in the Statement of Work.)

Our approach

Our approach — three focused phases

  1. Phase 1

    Assess

Review the current books, systems, calendar and who does what, and identify what is missing, late or unreliable.

  2. Phase 2

    Rebuild

Correct the chart of accounts and open items, set the close calendar, document the workflow and agree the reporting package.

  3. Phase 3

    Operate

Run the cycle each month, review results with you, and adjust reporting as the business changes.

Fit

Who this is for

  • Owners still approving every invoice and chasing their own receivables.
  • Companies whose books are months behind, fragmented across entities, or rebuilt each year for taxes.
  • Businesses that have outgrown a part-time bookkeeper but do not need a full finance department.

FAQ

Here’s the Facts

Do you replace our CPA?
No. ChurchillTerry is not a CPA firm. We run finance operations and hand your CPA clean, supported records for tax work.
Do we have to change accounting systems?
Only if the current one is holding you back. We work in the common platforms and will tell you plainly when a change is worth the disruption.
How long does a catch-up take?
It depends on how many months are open and how good the source records are. We scope it after a short review so you get a fixed expectation, not an open meter.
