Valuations & Investor Materials

Clean valuations, pitch decks, and lender packages designed to translate performance into committed capital.

Overview

At some point every owner needs a defensible answer to what the business is worth, and a way to explain it to someone who does not live inside it. ChurchillTerry prepares valuations and the materials that go with them — lender packages, investor presentations, diligence-ready financials — so the story a third party hears matches the business you actually run.

This work draws on decades of valuation experience across operating businesses, real property and complex family holdings, and on our own experience sitting on the other side of the table as investors and operators.

Money

What we do

Business valuation
Valuation analysis for planning, ownership transitions, buy-sell agreements, estates and negotiations.
Investor presentations
Decks and supporting models that present the opportunity, the numbers and the risks in the form investors expect.
Lender packages
Reporting packages, projections and supporting schedules that answer a credit committee's questions in advance.
Diligence readiness
Organising financial records, contracts and schedules so diligence does not stall the process or shake confidence.
Quality of information review
An internal look at how your numbers will hold up under outside scrutiny, and what to correct first.
Negotiation support
Working alongside owners in conversations with buyers, lenders and investors, in the room or behind it.

Engagement

Typical engagement models

  • Valuation engagementA defined analysis and report for a specific purpose and date.
  • Raise preparationA package of valuation, materials and financial preparation ahead of a capital raise or refinance.
  • Ongoing advisoryPeriodic updates as the business grows, ownership changes or the market moves.

(Engagement scope, hours, and pricing are defined in the Statement of Work.)

Our approach

Our approach — three focused phases

  1. Phase 1

    Understand the purpose

Who the audience is and what decision the work supports determines the method and the level of rigour.

  2. Phase 2

    Analyse

Normalise the financials, test the drivers, apply appropriate methods and document the assumptions behind the number.

  3. Phase 3

    Present and defend

Deliver the materials, walk your team through them, and stand behind the analysis in conversations with third parties.

Who this is for

  • Owners weighing a sale, a buy-in, a buy-out or an ownership transition.
